Bozeman Science Videos. Excellent website with 71 AP Chemistry videos. These are all organized according to the 6 Big Ideas that are covered in the course. A great way to review the most important concepts!
Chemmybear Study Cards. An excellent set of study cards that can be printed out on either side of heavy-weight paper. Great information on all topics.
NMSI Notes. This awesome set of AP Chem notes is from the National Math & Science Initiative. Notes are organized by topic, and instructional videos are here as well.
Stephen Akiki’s Notes. A complete set of AP Chemistry notes. This 45 page PDF covers the entire course. Very thorough and detailed notes!
PowerPoint Notes. Nice collection of PowerPoint AP Chemistry notes from ScienceGeek.
Quick Review. Amazing 15-page cram packet. Definitely check this one out.

Topics covered include atomic structure, intermolecular forces (IMF's), bonding, chemical reactions, thermodynamics, kinetics, and equilibrium. These are all included in 6 big ideas which encompass core scientific principles, theories, and processes. Laboratory investigations are also a major focus of the course with 25% of the class devoted to lab work. with a minimum of 16 hands-on labs.
The AP Chemistry Exam format is:
Section I: Multiple-Choice Questions (90 minutes, 50% of final grade)-60 multiple choice question
Section II: Seven Free-Response Questions (105 minutes, 50% of final grade)
-3 long-answer questions
-4 short-answer questions
Free-Response Skills Assessed:
1. Experimental design
2. Quantitative/qualitative translation
3. Analysis of authentic lab data and observations to identify patterns or explain phenomena
4. Creating or analyzing atomic and molecular views to explain observations
5. Following a logical/analytical pathway to solve a problem
A periodic table of the elements is provided as well as a formula and constants chart. These may be used on the entire exam. A scientific calculator may be used for the free-response section only.
