Assignments - Research the distillation of coal. Start your lab "Distillation of Coal" in your lab notebook. Write a purpose and do a background area making sure to include references to where you got your information. How is distillation of coal used to get gas? What gasses does it produce? How much refining is needed? What is the industrial process to gasify coal?
Do not write the procedure yet but come up with a few ideas of how you are going to distill coal. I will only be giving you a long tube of straight glass that you will need to make a distillation device with. Think about when you will need to add the coal and in what form to the apparatus that you will make.
