Today we had a quiz 3.12. We corrected the worksheet "Two more Laws". We received another worksheet - a review worksheet. We went through the last part of the Gas Laws power point and "killed" a 'peep' with pressure. Lab notebooks and the review are due next time. Test next time.

We had lecture on redox chemistry and how to balance equations in and acid or a base solution. We also learned about electrochemistry. we went through the honors power point and up to slide 30 in the AP power point. We learned conversions from delta G to E knot or K equilibruim. The rest of assign 3.11 was assigned along with 3.12.

We went over Redox (the power point from regular and honors chemistry). we performed the lab with the Enthalpy of phosphoric acid and sodium hydroxide mixing. We had a quiz on the lab before we performed it. Assign 3.11 (first three problems were assigned.)

We also needed to figure out how much more base and acid the buffered aspirin could hold. Also part of the lab write up should be calculating the Ka for the acid since it is a weak acid. We have handed in up through assignment 3.7 pg 851 #51, 53, 57, 59, 69, 71, 77. Lab notebooks are due next time. Next time is the Mid term test.

We also needed to figure out how much more base and acid the buffered aspirin could hold. Also part of the lab write up should be calculating the Ka for the acid since it is a weak acid. We have handed in up through assignment 3.7 pg 851 #51, 53, 57, 59, 69, 71, 77. We have a mid term test next time and our lab notebooks are due.

Today we started the chapter 16 power point and got to page 22. It is on Ksp and on common ions. We performed the Beer's Law Lab. Next time we will do the buffer lab. Corrected assign 3.5. Assign 3.6 is assigned.
